UAE’s Mubadala Tops Wealth Funds At $15.2bn In H1 2026
Mubadala deployed $15.2 billion during the first half of 2026, placing it ahead of every other sovereign wealth fund globally by capital committed. The pace was maintained despite pronounced volatility across public markets.
The allocation pattern is as informative as the total. Energy transition assets, digital infrastructure and life sciences absorbed the majority of new commitments, continuing a multi-year rotation away from conventional hydrocarbon exposure.
For advisory work spanning Europe and the Gulf, this matters practically: capital is available for well-structured environmental projects, and the constraint is increasingly the quality of project preparation rather than the availability of funding.
