The Next Chapter For Clean Energy Investment In The Gulf
Capital, policy and technology are converging across the Gulf in a way that materially shortens the runway for clean energy projects. Tariff structures that were speculative three years ago are now bankable.
Solar remains the anchor, but the growth is in the surrounding system: storage, grid flexibility, green hydrogen for industrial offtake, and the transmission capacity to connect them.
The constraint is execution. Projects that reach financial close on schedule are those that resolved permitting, grid connection and offtake in parallel rather than in sequence — which is where experienced development partners earn their place.
